Honesty, Forgiveness and the Porcelain Doll

Sophie learns about the importance of honesty and forgiveness when she accidentally breaks her friend's prized possession.

Hey — happy Monday!

When I was 5 years old I was sent to the shop to buy milk. I spent some of the change on a lollipop. When I returned home, my mother noticed the change didn't add up. That was the day I learned about the importance of honesty and the power of forgiveness. In todays story, Sophie learns the same lesson.

I've been spending time this week reaching out to readers to learn how they're using Molly Oliver. If you're one of the people I've spoken to, thanks. If we haven't connected yet and you'd like to help me answer these questions, hit reply.

Once upon a time, there was a young girl named Sophie. Sophie was a kind and thoughtful girl who had many friends. One of her closest friends was a girl named Emily, who had a prized possession, a beautiful and delicate porcelain doll.

One day, Sophie and Emily were playing with the doll in Sophie's backyard. Sophie, not paying attention, accidentally knocked the doll over...

and it broke into several pieces...Sophie was devastated. She knew how much the doll meant to Emily and she was afraid her friend would be angry and never speak to her again. She was worried and didn't know what to do.

Sophie decided to tell the truth and confessed to Emily what had happened. Emily was sad, but she also understood that accidents happen. She knew Sophie was sorry and didn't blame her.

Sophie felt a weight lifted off her shoulders and was relieved her friend was not angry. She realized the importance of honesty, and how much better it is to tell the truth and take responsibility for her actions.

Sophie and Emily went to the store together and picked out a new doll. They fixed it up and made it even more beautiful. In the end, the new doll became even more special to Emily because it reminded her of the valuable friendship she had with Sophie.

Sophie learned the importance of honesty and forgiveness. She understood that mistakes happen and that the most important thing is to take responsibility and make amends. She also learned that true friends will always forgive and support each other, no matter what happens.

The end.
